They followed it in 2011 with the album Barton Hollow, which received widespread praise and reached Number 12 in the US album chart.
They went on to collaborate with Taylor Swift on the song Safe & Sound, The Chieftains on Lily Love and T Bone Burnett on the film score of A Place At The Table; and their songs were also featured in The Hunger Games, Vampire Diaries and Nashville movies. In 2013 their bitter-sweet second album The Civil Wars topped the US album charts and produced hit singles The One That Got Away, From This Valley and Dust To Dust. Their future, however, is uncertain after a reported internal dispute between the duo and their decision to stop touring.
