International League Tickets

Get your International League tickets at TicketSmarter to experience the fun and excitement of minor league baseball. The International League originally formed in 1884 out of the merger of teams from the Eastern League, New York State League and Ontario League. The IL is part of the MiLB minor league baseball system at the Class AAA level. The league serves as an important development tool for young players to prepare for a career in Major League Baseball. The International League features 14 teams that compete in three divisions.

The geographic locations of the IL teams are in the midwest, northeast and east coast regions of the United States. The Rochester Red Wings and Indianapolis Indians are the two oldest teams in the league, having started play in 1899 and 1902, respectively. The Rochester Red Wings and Columbus Clippers are the most successful active teams in the league, both having more than ten International League championships. Every team in the league is affiliated with an MLB team who can call up players to the majors or send their players down to play at the Triple-A level. Get your International League tickets and root on your favorite team as they strive to become the league champions and win the Triple-A National Championship Game!

International League Ticket Prices

Several factors will have an effect on International League ticket prices throughout the season. Some of the variables include the seating location inside the ballpark, the number of games left in the season and how well each team is playing during the season. International League games will be cheaper to attend than MLB tickets due to being a Triple-A minor league and the teams being located in smaller market areas.

How much are International League tickets?

International League tickets usually start in the $10 to $20 range. The average price of minor league baseball tickets will typically be around $30 to $40. Fans looking for cheap minor league baseball tickets should look for seating options near the outfield as those will typically be the least expensive seats in the ballpark.

International League Dates & Schedule

The International League schedule begins in the first week of April and ends on Labor Day in September. Each team in the IL will play 140 games during the season. The 14 teams in the league are divided into the North, South and West divisions. At the end of the season, the three leaders of each division along with an at-large wild card team will play in a best-of-five playoff series. The winner of these series will become the league champion and be awarded the Governors’ Cup trophy. The IL champion will then go on to face the PCL champion in the Triple-A National Championship Game to determine the top team in AAA baseball.

When do International League tickets go on sale?

International League baseball tickets will go on sale a few months ahead of the start of the new baseball season. During the offseason, the league will create a schedule for every team, which will then be announced with ticket sales following shortly afterward.

International League Seating Chart

The International League features several different ballparks that host games throughout the season. Each of these minor league baseball stadiums can accommodate capacity crowds between 10,000 and 16,600. These stadiums offer many modern amenities that also exist in major league stadiums such as video boards, suites and skybox seating. Stadiums may have a single level or two levels of seating based on the total capacity of the ballpark. Lawn seating may also be available at certain ballparks.

The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders have the smallest stadium in the IL with a total seating capacity of 10,000. The largest stadium in the IL belongs to the Buffalo Bisons, who can accommodate crowds of up to 16,600 at Sahlen Field.
