Watch your team take the ice and compete with Youngstown Phantoms tickets. The Phantoms represent the city of Youngstown, Ohio in Tier 1 junior ice hockey. The team plays in the Eastern Conference of the United States Hockey League. As a Tier 1 team, all expenses are paid for by the team and there are no fees for equipment or membership. Tier 1 is for players who want to play in the NCAA before attempting to play in the NHL.

The team was formed in 2003 and competed in the North American Hockey League in the North Division. At the time home games were played at the Boardman Ice Zone, in Boardman, Ohio. which has 1,000 seats. The team changed names to the Mahoning Valley Phantoms in 2005. In 2009, the team moved to the USHL and Youngstown and changed the name back to Youngstown.

The Phantoms won their first Anderson Cup in 2015. The Anderson Cup is the trophy given to the winner of the regular season in the USHL.

There have been more than fifteen players who have been drafted by the NHL from the Phantoms. The first player was Scott Mayfield, who was drafted 34th overall by the New York Islanders in 2011. That same year, Matt Mahalak was drafted by the Carolina Hurricanes 134th overall. Kyle O’Connor was drafted 17th overall by the Winnipeg Jets in 2015.
