The show follows writer Alice Cornwinkle who has lost her joy and life and is struggling while alienated from her daughter Chloe who finds herself in Wonderland on a journey to rediscover the wonder in her life.
The show features a book written by Jack Murphy and Gregory Boyd and was the first project mounted by the Broadway Genesis Project which helped to bring theatre works to the Tampa Bay area. The first production was held in Tampa in 2009 directed by Boyd before moving to a run in Houston in early 2010 where it played to packed houses for a month. The following year, the musical opened on Broadway at the Marquis Theatre starring Janet Dacal, Darren Ritchie, Kate Shindle and Carly Rose Sonenclar.
