After dropping out of the Lewis & Clark College in Oregon, Weyes found a home in the band Jackie-O Motherfucker where she played the bass guitar. Blood’s career started picking up steam with the release of her album “The Outside Room” in 2011, which was even covered by Beatbots and Uncut magazine. After moving from New York to California, Weyes published her album “Front Row Seat to Earth” in 2016 and began her first international tour.
With influences from experimental rock artist Kate Bush and pop music singer Karen Carpenter, Weyes Blood’s 2019 album “Titanic Rising” proved to be another big hit. Having performed with notable singers like Lana Del Ray and Kacey Musgraves as well as singing live on The Late Night Show with Seth Meyers, Weyes Blood has proved to be a huge hit in recent years.
