Formed in Halifax, Nova Scotia in 2007 as Tupper Ware Remix Party, now known as TWRP, the band moved to Toronto four years later replacing bandmates and having a makeover of their musical style. The band plays in the multiple genres of electronic rock, synth-pop, electro-funk and funk-rock. TWRP consists of members Doctor Sung on vocals, keytar, keyboards, talkbox and percussion, Havve Hogan on drums and electronic percussion, Lord Phobos on lead guitar and acoustic guitar and Commander Meouch on bass guitar and backing vocals. The band will not reveal their true names or looks as they are always on stage wearing costumes, and are known for their wild live shows and unpretentious party music.
The group gained notoriety in the early 2010s both with their own evocative recordings and through working musically together with kindred spirits, Ninja Sex Party. TWRP has released multiple singles, EPs, and full-length albums, including their debut LP Poised to Dominate (2010). Other releases include Together Through Time (2018), Return to Wherever (2019) and Over The Top (2020).
