Born in San Francisco, Deke Sharon showed musical talent at an early age and eventually received a degree in music from Tufts University and the New England Conservatory of Music with concentrations in both vocal jazz and music theory. It was during college that Sharon became especially interested in a cappella music and directed an a cappella group called Beelzebubs. After college, Sharon’s career continued to focus on a cappella performance. He performs as a solo artist and with his new a cappella called The House Jacks. With such knowledge and experience in a cappella singing, Sharon was also the music director for the movie Pitch Perfect and the television show The Sing-Off.
