There, he met London native and percussionist Oliver Maguire. Maguire grew up in a family surrounded by music and had been performing since he was a young boy.

Together, Cerven and Maguire would form The Trouble Notes and tour throughout the UK. With their combined violin and percussion duo, The Trouble Notes gained a loyal following and even met guitarist Florian Eisenschmidt who would join the group as both an instrumentalist and sound engineer.
