They grew a prominent following in extreme sports circles, with many of their songs featured in athletes’ highlight reels. The Spits’ song “Bring Down” was used in Al Partanen’s skate video, for example, and their song “Rip Up The Street” was featured in the 2012 Vans skate team commercial.
