See masters of rock music at work with Ike Reilly Assassination tickets. Michael Reilly was born in Libertyville, Ill., in 1963. He began playing the harmonica and had his first gig at 13. He learned to play guitar while working a summer job at the Ascension Catholic Cemetery.

 After graduating with a degree in theology from Marquette University, Reilly was in several bands none of which worked out, and by 1990 he has retired from music. That is until 1997 after he got a job with the Diamond City recording studio where he worked with the famed Ed Tinley. Reilly had begun writing music again and by 2001 recorded his debut album Salesmen and Racists. The band was formed in 2003 and signed with Rock Ridge Music. They have released seven albums including Born on Fire, We Belong to the Staggering Evening and the critically acclaimed Sparkle in the Finish.
