Hiatt first worked with The Goners on his sophomore album Slow Turning, which remains one of the artist’s most popular albums still today. They would reunite with Hiatt for his 2001 album The Tiki Bar Is Open, and have since toured and performed widely with the artist. The Goners are known for their instantly recognizable signature sound marked by the slide guitar skills of Sonny Landreth.
