After meeting producer John Fields, known for his work with countless acts such as the Jonas Brothers, Switchfoot, Pink and Miley Cyrus, they recorded their debut album, Eat My Heart Out, in 2004. The band released the album with Panic Button, a subsidiary of Lookout! Records and toured extensively to support the record. After the label folded, the band met Joan Jett while on tour with her on the Vans Warped Tour and they would go on to sign with her label Blackheart Records and release their second album, Because I’m Awesome.
