The original group has released 18 studio albums since 1979 with a number of radio hits, including “Just Like Heaven,” “Friday I’m in Love” and “Lovesong.”
The Cure formed in the late 70s and released their first album in 1979. After struggles with the first three albums, they released a compilation entitled Boys Don’t Cry featuring the best work from their first three. By 1983 the band, fronted by key member Robert Smith, was reaching their commercial success with songs like “The Walk” and “Love Cats” charting in the UK. In 1987, they released their 7th studio album Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me featuring the hit song “Just Like Heaven” that became a smash radio and music video hit. 1989 saw the release of their, arguably, most important album Disintegration featuring another seminal song for the group “Lovesong.” Another key work for The Cure was 1992’s release of the album Wish with yet another hit song, “Friday I’m in Love.”
