The Blue Monday Band recorded its first demo in 2002 before setting off on their first tour across the western coast of Canada. Later that year they were signed to For the Core Records, through which they released their debut EP War Wounds in 2003. The Blue Monday Band released their follow-up EP What’s Done is Done later that year through Stab and Kill Records. The release enjoyed significant popularity, and soon the band was performing alongside high-profile hard rock bands such as Desperate Measures, Far From Breaking and Internal Affairs.
