In 2009 The Armed released their debut full-length album entitled These Are Lights completely free. Their desire to get their music in people’s ears paid off as they released more mixtapes including 2012’s Spreading Joy with songs performed by Chris Pennie. The Armed continued their conspicuous ways with their sophomore full-length release 2015s Untitled. In 2021 with the release of their fourth album Ultrapop the band released a lineup with ten unconfirmed members.
