In addition to their time supporting Derrick Morgan, The Aggrolites have been known to play with Tim Armstrong and Joseph Hill of the band Culture. The original members of The Aggrolites have described their sound as “Dirty Reggae.” It’s a mix of soul, funk and early reggae. This self-proclaimed genre gave birth to the name of their debut album. Dirty Reggae was released in 2003. It featured each song recorded in only one take. While the music was predetermined, the lyrics on Dirty Reggae were mainly improvised.
