Catch this English prog metal band on tour with Tesseract tickets. The group was founded in 2003 by Acle Kahney, who was writing and recording music with his other band at the time. Julien Perier helped out in the band’s beginning by providing vocals, but issues with travel prevented the French vocalist from permanently joining the band’s roster. Their debut album, One, would be released in 2011, containing part of a three-single demo that was released several years earlier. The album’s success was proven by its addition to the 2011 Billboard Top Hotseekers chart as well as the Progressive Music Award for New Blood won in 2012. They released the EP Perspective that year and later Altered State in 2013.
After the release of their 2018 album, Sonder, the band received even more success and fame. The album featured several hit singles including “Smile,” “King” and “Luminary.” This album was meant to touch on the theme of insignificance and the depth of its roots that can be found on both an individual and on a collective scale. The newest album, Portals, dropped in 2021 and was followed by the single "War of Being" in July 2023. Tesseract’s music can be found on Spotify playlists like Progressive Metal and Metal UK.
