Before then, he was the conductor of the New World Symphony in Miami Beach, Fla., from 2008 to 2011. He is the Music Director of the Louisville Orchestra and Britt Festival Orchestra. Throughout the years, he has acquired several awards and accolades. Among others, Abrams earned the Aspen Composition Contest in 2007 and the Louisville Fund for the Arts Innovation Award in 2016.
