The Symphony by the Sea, an elite orchestra North of Boston, is putting on a performance of Mendelssohn’s The Hebrides, Elgar’s Nimrod variation from his Enigma Variations and Mozart’s Symphony No. 41, Jupiter. The performance is directed by Music Director Donald Palma.
The Symphony by the Sea was formed in 1981 by Royston Nash and has been putting on quality performances and showcasing solo artists such as Pamela Frank, Stephanie Chase and Paula Robinson along with members of the nearby Boston Symphony Orchestra. The Symphony is a chamber-sized orchestra with between 35 and 40 musicians and regularly performs at the Cabot Theatre.

Mozart’s Symphony No. 41 was composed in 1788 and is regarded as one of the greatest and most joyous symphonies in classical music.
