Hear some of ASU’s best voices raised in song with Spring Choral Showcase tickets. The Arizona State University Spring Choral Showcase is the annual spring concert for the student groups the Canticum Bassum, the Sol Singers and the ASU Concert Choir. The Canticum Bassum, formerly called the ASU Arizona Statesmen, is an ensemble of tenors and basses featuring both non-music majors and music majors. The group’s purpose is to sing as well as to socialize. The ensemble's repertoire ranges from challenging to entertaining and rehearsals are supportive and foster respect and support.
The Sol Singers are a choir of sopranos and altos in an atmosphere of inclusion and foster friendship and community. The focus is on music reading, technique and musical expression. Two concerts are put on by the Sol Singers each semester.
Hear a great vocal performance with Spring Choral Showcase tickets. The ASU Concert Choir contains a wide variety of musical experiences but all members demonstrate dedication and are committed to the best music possible. The choir’s mission is to foster collaboration between its members.
The ASU Concert Choir has sung in such venues as regional and national conventions and also frequently collaborates with other ASU musical programs, both choral and orchestral. One such collaboration was the 2018 performance of Bernstein’s Mass that involved various ASU organizations, including the Music Theater and Opera, Choral, Orchestra and other performing entities of the University.
