Slow Pulp is an indie rock band that originated in Madison, Wisconsin before moving their home base to Chicago, Illinois. The band is made up of Teddy Matthews (drums), Alex Leeds (bass), Henry Stoehr (guitar), and Emily Massey (vocals, guitar).
Matthews, Leeds, and Stoehr are childhood friends who played in multiple bands together growing up. They would meet up with Emily Massey before moving to Chicago after the release of their first EP entitled EP1 in 2015. In 2017 they released their first work with Massey entitled EP2.
In 2019 Slow Pulp released the EP Big Day and started to work on their first full-length album. The work would initially be scrapped as multiple issues started to appear.
