Before the formation of the band, Morey was a member of the metal tribute group The White Leppard Crue, where he performed some of Bon Jovi’s hits.

Slippery When Wet uses note-for-note live arrangements from Bon Jovi’s live tours in the 2000s. The band began performing at clubs throughout the Southeast which helped them attain the status as the biggest draw of any Bon Jovi tribute band, and it certainly did not hurt when Bon Jovi gave Slippery When Wet their official stamp of approval.
