Attend an entertaining country performance with Shoji Tabuchi tickets. The Japanese-American country violinist Shoji Tabuchi was born April 16, 1944, in what is now Kaga, Ishikawa, Japan. He is the headlining act at his concert hall, the Shoji Tabuchi Theater in Branson, Missouri.
At the age of seven, Tabuchi watched a classmate play the violin in a show-and-tell held at the school. When his friend explained to him that he learned the violin via the Suzuki method, Tabuchi told his mother when he got home that evening that he wanted to learn the violin also using the system. The Suzuki method is a teaching method and philosophy that teaches an instrument by mirroring the way that we learn a language.
See a great show with Shoji Tabuchi tickets. Tabuchi was in college when he heard that country singer and fiddle player Roy Acuff was going to perform in Osaka, Japan. Tabuchi was allowed to go backstage to meet the performer, which inspired him to learn country and bluegrass.
He would go on to form a band called the Bluegrass Ramblers, which won a national contest in Japan before deciding to leave for America with his violin and $500. Since coming to America, he has lived in San Francisco, Kansas City, Louisiana and Nashville, reconnecting with Acuff there. After several years of performing, he decided to build a theater in Branson, Missouri. The theater was completed in 1990 and he began to perform his own show there.
