He began playing at venues around Houston, Texas with bassist Steven Sutherland, drummer Matt Bledsoe, and guitarist Nathan Lockhart. They performed for four years before releasing their debut album Between Hell & Texas in 2009.
In 2010, the band released a live album titled Live In Big Texas and continued to play shows across Texas.
