He was raised in the city of Tema in Ghana and was an underground rapper, being discovered in a rap competition called Kasahare Level.

Addo’s debut album, Makye, was released in 2009 and was received positively by critiques and fans. While performing and promoting for the album, he performed with Busta Rhymes at the “Busta Rhymes Live in Ghana” concert. Two songs from the album, “Baby” and “Push” were ranked thirteenth and ninth respectively on Joy FM’s Top 50 songs of 2009.

Addo’s next album was Sarkology, primarily recorded in Twi. In 2014, he launched the Sarkcess Music record label. That same year he performed at the Ghana Music Awards.

He has since released several albums, including 2019’s Black Love and No Pressure, which was released on July 30, 2021.
