The band’s single "Norma and Jessica" has been compared to The Marketts but being far grittier than the traditional 60’s instrumental pop style. The music video for “Norma and Jessica” stars Danny Trejo and was shot on 16mm film. The use of digital 8-track and cassette 4-track resulted in an eclectic yet harmonious sound reminiscent of late 50’s to early 60’s love songs but with SadGirl’s own new age twist. SadGirl's already shared the stage with The Drums, Kim & The Created, and The Garden.
