Listen to Swedish melodic black metal with Sacramentum tickets. The metal group Sacramentum was formed by Nisse Karlen in the summer of 1990 in Falkoping, Sweden. The group’s original name was Tumulus. The band changed their name to Sacramentum in 1992 right before they released the demo tape called Sedes Impiorum. Their next release was the EP Finis Malorum in 1994 at Unisound Studio and released with the label Adipocere Records in 1995.
Their first full-length album was then recorded in June of 1995. Far Away From the Sun, released in 1996, is considered one of the best early releases in classic melodic black metal. After the release, the group went on a European tour with the group's Ancient Rites, Bewitched and Enthroned.
Enjoy melodic black metal from one of the bands that defined the sound with Sacramentum tickets. The group signed with Century Media in 1997 and then went into the studio to record their second full-length album, The Coming of Chaos. This was released in September of 1997 on the Century Media Records label and was more of a blackened death metal sound than their previous work. The group also toured Europe to support this album, this time with the bands Old Man’s Child and Rotting Christ.
Sacramentum recorded its third album in September of 1998 and released Thy Black Destiny on April 13, 1999. This album featured new guitarist Nicklaus Anderson, who became a permanent member of the group.
