After the release of their sophomore effort Drinking from a Salt Pond in 2016, Run River North made a slew of prominent appearances on late night talk shows including Late Night with Seth Meyers and Jimmy Kimmel Live! They performed at a number of high-profile events such as the Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival and the Summer Sonic Festival, and opened for several well-known acts like Finish Ticket and The Wild Reeds. The band is known for their sophisticated musical technicality and catchy yet soulful riffs.
