In 2010, while still in Australia, she released her self-titled EP. Later she attained some success among her Aussie fans with her debut LP, Solitude, in 2015 released under the Universal Music Australia imprint, Lost Highway Records Australia. With her distinctly Americana-driven, country, roots music sound, she didn’t have much mobility in the Australian market. By 2016, she finally relocated to the U.S. and put down roots in Nashville which was a natural home for her sound. That same year, she played at the Americana Music Association’s AmericanaFest. Prior to her move to the States, she saw her unique sound recognized by the WA Music Awards in 2015 for Best Country Music Act. In 2018, Boots released her second LP, Don’t Talk About It, under Bloodshot Records in America. This album, with hints of doo-wop, Americana and rock subgenres, helped her continue to solidify her space in the Americana folk scene. The track, “I Am a Woman”, achieved critical acclaim with its political commentary and harrowing acapella execution. It also made use of the vocal talents of country singer Nikki Lane. In that same year, she was invited to play at the moderately exclusive Holler on the Hill music festival. She’s also brought her sound to cities all across the U.S.
