Rotting Out released their first album, Street Prowl, with 6131 Records in 2011. They launched the band's first tour in 2013. While touring, Rotting Out headlined for The Ghost Inside alongside Stray from the Path and Stick to Your Guns. After their tour, Rotting Out produced their second album, The Wrong Way. The band toured again through 2014 with 29 concerts across the United States.
Rotting Out tickets became available again in 2015 with a 20-date tour they co-headlined with Expire. Shortly after that, the band released their EP "Reckoning" with Pure Noise Records. However, a few weeks later, the band was disbanded until 2018. After Rotting Out's brief hiatus, they performed at their first concert in nearly three years at the Sound and Fury Festival. In addition, they performed at This is Hardcore Fest in July of the same year.
Rotting Out released their third album, Ronin, in 2020 under Pure Noise Records. The album was considered a hit, with their leading single, "Unforgiven," garnishing immense praise.
