After meeting at Franklin Pierce College in New Hampshire, Brett Wilson (lead singer, guitar), Tal Pearson (keyboardist) and Mike Chadinha (drums) decided to start a band. They adopted the New Hampshire motto “Live free or die” in their music. Later, they were joined by new members Billy Kottage (trombone, rhythm guitar, keys, harmony vocals), Andrew Riordan (saxophone, synth, harmony vocals) and Nick Minicucci (bass guitar).
