The full band project of singer-songwriter Ryan Dunson formed in 2005 in Fayetteville, N.C. Over the years the band consisted of a variety of musicians but has remained fronted by Dunson in the studio and on the road.
The group signed with One Eleven Records, releasing their debut album, Having to Let Go, that same year. Their follow-up, The Goodnight Moon, was a breakthrough for the band and was praised for its soaring choruses and layered production on songs like “The Blue Roses” and “Liars and Battlelines” as the group saw an increase in popularity and hit the road. They returned with Sweet Attention in 2008 followed by 2009’s Since I Left Your World which welcomed a more folk-influenced sound to their indie-rock sound. In 2013, the group released Canova Presents: The Goodnight Moon Part II featuring the songs “Save Me” and “...Light Years Away” among other fan favorites.
