The group was formed in 1988, signing under EmmaJava Recordings and is frequently associated with such acts as The Refreshments, Dead Hot Workshop, Cracker, Railbenders, Gloritone, The Mortals and The Jons. The quartet consists of Clyne, Paul “P.H.” Naffah, Nick Scropos and Jim Dalton.
After The Refreshments, a 1990s rock act known for their smash hit, “Banditos,” disbanded, Cline and Naffah continued the group’s legacy, producing music under a more modern moniker, Roger Clyne and The Peacemakers. They were joined by former member Scott “Scotty” Johnson. Johnson left in 2002.
Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers have toured the U.S. on a regular basis and host a popular, seaside music festival based in Puerto Penasco. The band celebrated year 20 of their Circus Mexicus festival in 2019.
