He earned a Grammy and Dove Award for his contribution to Quincy Jones’ gospel project, Handel’s Messiah: A Soulful Celebration, in 1992 which featured a number of performers including Diane Reeves and Stevie Wonder. The singer has contributed an endless stream of music to the gospel world, including 1996’s Adoration and 2001’s Persuaded.
