Throughout Choate’s dance career in multiple schools and companies, he noticed the scarcity of African American dancers and started the Revolution Dance Theatre in an effort to change that. With a full season of performances designed to celebrate the African American community, Choate is well on his way to achieving his goal while watching his students attain theirs.
