Born in Marseilles in 1976, Bougheraba originally pursued a career in professional sports. He trained for a number of years as a soccer player at the Olympique de Marseilles before turning toward comedy. Bougheraba still occasionally competes in the annual Heroes’ Match at Velodrome Stadium.
Bougheraba trained in classical theater, improvisational comedy and sketch comedy. The comedian appeared on television on the show Laugh Against Racism, and in 2015 received the prestigious Philippe Avron Prize. He has also enjoyed success in musical theater, appearing in lead roles in Un de la Canebière and L'Étonnant Destin.
