Their self-titled album, Real Estate, debuted the same year. The album achieved swift success and received the Best New Music tag from Pitchfork Media with an 8.5 rating. Following its newfound success, Real Estate began to tour as a supporting act to several artists, including Deerhunter, Woods, Girls and Kurt Vile.
In 2010, Real Estate performed live at the Primavera Sound Festival and the Pitchfork Music Festival. Its second album, Days, was released the following year. Days was critically acclaimed and received positive ratings from Metacritic and Pitchfork. In addition, the band was featured in the No. 76 issue of The Fader that same year.
The band's rising success and recognition helped garnish demand for Real Estate tickets for its upcoming performances. Real Estate performed at the Pitchfork Musical Festival and the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in 2012. In 2014, Real Estate released its third studio album, Atlas, which peaked at No. 6 in the US Indie charts. The band continued its success with the release of In Mind in 2017, which also peaked at the No. 6 spot in the US Indie Chart. Additionally, Real Estate contributed original songs to the romantic comedy, Plus One.
Real Estate debuted their fifth studio album, The Man Thing, in 2020 and their EP, Half a Human, in 2021.
