The band split in 1998, but in 2007, Eric Gancio who played guitar for the band brought it back as a one-man band and uses sidemen to help perform.
The Youth, formed in 1989, is a punk and alternative rock band that was heavily influenced by Wuds, a pioneering Filipino punk band. They won the NU Rock Award for Best New Artist (which they ultimately share with Yano) in 1994. They have produced a number of albums that include The Youth which was released in 1990, Na Waland Pamagat, Tao Po and Pirata.
