Bright started out by recording and producing some of Raelyn’s songs, but they soon decided to work together. Jonathan became one of the lead vocalist and guitar players in the Raelyn Nelson Band. The band also had Preach Rutherford on the bass and Evan on the drums.
The Raelyn Nelson Band created their own fresh and original sound that was labeled as “Country/Garage Rock.” If the group was not writing and recording songs, they were making music videos or road tripping to a live show. They have shared the stage with many diverse musical acts including Tim McGraw, Drivin’ n Cryin’, and Hard Working Americans. Raelyn claims she has never had a desire to play as a solo artist and that stage chemistry is very important. The Raelyn Nelson Band has released two very popular albums named Don’t and Do You.
