Puerto Rico Open Golf Tickets
Enjoy professional golf action with Puerto Rico Open tickets. The Puerto Rico Open is a PGA event held in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico at the Coco Beach Golf Course. The annual event is the only PGA Tour event in Puerto Rico. It was first held in 2008.
From 2008 to 2015, the Puerto Rico Open was held in early March as an alternative to the WGC-Cadillac Championship, but in 2008 it moved to late March to be an alternative to the WGC-Dell Match Play. As an alternate event, it does not award either the FedEx Cup points or the OWGR points that the others do.
All four rounds of the event are broadcast on the Golf Channel. As an alternate event, the winner does not qualify for the Masters but still receives a two-year exemption on the PGA Tour as well as entry into the PGA Championship. Watch the players tee off with Puerto Rico Open tickets.
There was an unofficial “curse” on the event as no one that had ever won the event has ever won another PGA Tour event. Michael Bradley won the event in 2009 and then won again in 2011 but has not won any other PGA Tour event yet. The curse was finally broken in 2020 when Viktor Hovland won the Puerto Rico Open in March and then won the Mayakoba Golf Classic in December.
