In his early years, Fernow’s signature sound involved minimal production and a lo-fi style that used only a microphone, amplifier and occasional percussion. As the years went on he took a turn toward electronica and synthesizers.
The artist has since collaborated with a number of well-known acts including Philip Best, Macronympha and Wolf Eyes. He has occasionally performed as a member of the bands Cold Cave, Ash Pool and Football Rabbit.
