Rock the night away with Powerglove tickets. Powerglove is a heavy metal cover band known for their rock and roll interpretations of classic video game songs. The band began in 2005 in Boston as a humorous side project of the members, who were playing in separate heavy metal groups at the time. When their various groups disbanded, the members committed more fully to Powerglove and began work on their first album. Metal Kombat for the Mortal Man was released in 2008 and met with widespread positive reviews. The album saw Powerglove featured in a variety of video game magazines, most notably in Game Informer and Gamepro. A live tour with Psychostick got the attention of the popular speed metal band DragonForce, who asked Powerglove to begin opening for them. DragonForce brought Powerglove into the spotlight, where they have remained ever since.
Powerglove was signed to E1 Music in 2010 and went on to release their second album Saturday Morning Apocalypse through the label. The album features heavy metal interpretations of several 80’s and 90’s television cartoon theme songs, including the Pokemon and Flintstones theme songs.
