PNAU is the name of a trio of electronic and dance performers from Australia that began in 1999 with Nick Littlemore and Peter Hayes with Nick's younger brother Sam joining in 2007. They started out performing acid and house music in Sydney and recorded the dance album 'Sambanova' which proved to be a success across the country after it was named Best Dance Album in the ARIA Music Awards. It was withdrawn due to rights issues but they went on to perform at festivals and after weak sales of an album titled 'Again' in 2003, disbanded for a time.
They reunited for 'Pnau' in 2007 with Sam Littlemore and help from Elton John, who went on to collaborate with them on the albums 'Soft Universe' (2011) and 'Good Morning to the Night', which topped the UK Albums Chart and went to number 20 on Billboard's Top Dance/Electronic Albums Chart in 2012.
They appeared on French duo Faul & Wad Ad's 2013 single 'Changes', which topped the Germany Songs Chart and went to number three on the UK Singles Chart. Their 2017 release 'Changa' reached number eleven on the Australia Albums Chart and the single 'Go Bang' peaked at number 40 on the US Dance/Electronic Song Chart.
