Plume Latraverse became a fixture of Quebec's blues scene in 1976 and was later given the Prime Minister of France's Prize at Le Printemps de Bourges. Latraverse was such an influential figure in Quebec that a film was made about his life, O rage electrique, in 1985.
Latraverse would begin publishing albums in 1971 with Triniterre. Some of his most popular releases came from the 1970s, including All Dressed and Pommes De Route but continued to see decades of success with later albums. Latraverse's mixture of hard rock and blues sounds is exciting yet somber at times. In the 2000s, he released more blues-focused albums such as Chants d'Epuration, in 2003.
Latraverse has also worked with other artists, including Steve Faulkner and Pierrot le fou. He was previously a part of the band La Sainte Trinite in the late 1960s.
