The Pillow Queens then released their sophomore EP State of the State, which was well-received and saw the band enjoy tours with high-profile acts like Pussy Riot and Idles.
Pillow Queens released their first full-length album In Waiting in 2020, then briefly joined the artist collective Irish Women in Harmony to play a series of charity concerts raising funds for victims of domestic abuse. In 2021 they signed to the record label Sub Pop.
