He returned to the UK when he was 16 and went on to attend King’s College in Cambridge where he was president of the Cambridge Footlights, one of the school’s theater clubs.
Wang began making waves immediately as he began performing stand-up and honing his craft, winning the Chortle Student Comedian of the Year in 2010 and Comedy Central’s Funniest Student Award the following year. He has since performed all over the world and appeared at major events like the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and Melbourne International Comedy Festival in Australia. He is also popularly known as a member of the British comedy trio, Daphne, alongside Jason Forbes and George Fouracres since they formed in 2014. The trio created the BBC Radio 4 comedy series, Daphne Sounds Expensive, in 2016 which featured special guests like author Caitlin Moran and opera singer Sir Willard White and earned them a nomination for Best Radio Sketch Show at the Comedy.co.uk Awards.
