Perrett re-emerged in 1994 with a new band called The One who recorded just one album 'Woke Up Sticky'. Perrett's moderate and sporadic success was punctuated by long absences from the music scene, sometimes for years at a time whilst he battled with his drug addiction.
After effectively being written off by the music business Perrett surprised critics by releasing the solo album 'How the West Was Won in 2017. The album met with a positive critical response and came after a period of abstinence from Perrett which had clearly paid significant dividends.
