The band formed in 1996 with members Kaleo Wassman and Brett Bolinger, who later added Yesom Williams to the mix. All three original members still perform together today. The group moved from Hawaii to San Diego to make it big, initially opening for performers like Burning Spear and Shaggy. By 1999, they had gained a small local following and signed on with Volcom Entertainment.

They released their debut album, Give’n It, which allowed them to gain more popularity and join the 2001 Warped Tour. They continued touring regularly for years before hitting the studio again to record their second album, Kona Town. Their third album, In With The Old, was ranked at No. 35 on the Billboard Heat Seekers chart and No. 18 on the independent albums chart. They have continued to garner success with each new album release and spend the majority of their time touring in between producing music
