In addition to his solo career, Sweany formed his eclectic, energy-infused trio, aptly titled, The Patrick Sweany Band in 2001. The band featured prominent musicians such as drummer Clint Alguire and a revolving list of other talents among them baritone guitarist Dan Auerback from The Black Keys, Ted Pecchio, Bob Basone and Jon Finley.
