Our Lady Peace Concert Tickets
Buy Our Lady Peace tickets on TicketSmarter to listen to the biggest Canadian alternative rock band in the post-grunge era. The band began in 1991 and was called “As If,” featuring Mike Turner and vocalist Michael “Raine” Maida. It quickly got the moniker Our Lady Peace from a poem by Mark Van Doren.
OLP (Our Lady Peace) created mixes with Arnold Lanni, a singer and producer, and toured across Canada. The band’s debut single, “Out of Here,” aired on the MuchMusic Indie radio show in 1992. The song’s success led to the group signing their first-ever record deal with Sony Music Canada and the release of their debut album Naveed.
In the early 2000s, the original guitarist, Mike Turner, left the band and joined the group Crash Karma. Currently, the band has Steve Mazur, Duncan Coutts and Jason Pierce playing the lead guitar, bass and drums respectively, with Raine still serving as the vocalist. Alt-rock lovers buy Our Lady Peace tickets to hear the band’s sick beats and the unrivaled, erratic vocals of Raine Maida. OLP bagged four of Canada’s most prestigious Juno Awards and the highest number (10) of Much Music Video Awards that any artist has ever received.
OLP delivered chartbusters such as “Thief,” “Clumsy” and “One Man Army,” and their initial albums have surpassed over one million sales. Their conceptual videos and powerful lyrics have inspired many music lovers of alternative and post-grunge rock genre.
